205What Direction Are Notebook Computers Headed In
posted on June 29th, 2008
Move over Desktop, it’s the time of the laptop computer, or at least that what the colossal demand points to. It seems the poor suppliers are also facing issues that could keep us all waiting. It doesn’t look like anything will hinder the surge of laptops at present. The amazing thing is that even when you get the latest thing out it’ll be out of date.
I’ve seen an increasing number of customers enquiring about gaming notebooks. Respectable gaming notebooks can be brought relatively cheap for average gaming needs. With the introduction of dual core processors, laptops are worthy of gaming. With the newly discovered speed also came along more streamlined chassis. Gaming performance between laptops and desktop PC’s should forever be partial to desktops though, simply because desktops are always going to be bigger and more powerful. The advancement of gaming notebooks signifies that they will become sleeker and lighter in the the coming years.
Even though the market share is dominated by brands selling via retail outlets I think the direct channel and custom built notebooks will forever be around. One thing with custom notebooks is that you can aquire higher specification parts. In numerous cases you can specify all the primary parts you desire and this is best suited to gamers, professional and power users. The vast majority the notebook computers found in retail shops are made to grab the greatest market share and not the smaller niche sectors. Mass customisation of notebooks has got by this issue. There are a lot of small computer assembelers out there that give excellent customer care. This would be a large enticer to a couple niche groups.
Next gen laptops do look like a tantalising proposition. Laptops essentially for using the internet etc are coming to the market one after the other. An entirely new niche has developed overnight it seems. Supremely everybody would prefer a slim computer with a 15″ lcd. I reckon getting an appealing price mark is a major roadblock in all this. Sure enough the technology is present. Companies are filling increaed performance into portables and it looks as if gaming notebooks will become sleeker and lighter. I honestly can’t guess what to await apart from those sectors spoken of. Some company creating a laptop to be distinct in a crowed market.
I found some great cheap gaming laptops.
